It's All About The Green

In another post, I mentioned how much I love the color green. This lime green is no exception. I love this shade for several reasons. It also looks great with so many things. I love this light spring cardigan paired with a belt, like this one, and with these tan skinnies or this skirt. I love the skinny jeans rolled up a tad, just enough to show off the cute shoes. Another great look for spring. I love this cardigan and can see it looking great with this skirt for Easter.

Polka Dots Are Fun

I wish Anthro would get more polka dot clothing. I love this top tucked into a pair of jeans or cropped pants. This top is very slimming and looks great with skirts too. I love this top with these shoes or even with a pair of red flats.

About This Shrug

This shrug is really great. I love the rose/brown color, which is a very unique color choice and really goes with a lot of things. I tried this on in the size small/medium and the medium/large. Both worked great for me, but I chose the small medium because it was a better fit and does run slightly big. I also recommend the size small medium because not only does it run a little big, but it does seem to come from a material that can get looser with wear.
I am glad to see this made it to the sale price. It really is unique in design and I loved how it looked with jeans. It's got this beautiful way of draping so nicely once on. Highly Recommend this, even if getting for next fall/winter.

Green Is The Color Of My Choice

But not just any color green. I detest sewer or olive green. I love me a deep emerald or forest green, or even a soft subtle lime green. When choosing what I like in tops, dresses, shoes, or skirts, the few thing I take into account before committing are: color, texture of quality in material, and design. People often tell me that I don't like many clothing styles, and it's true, I am very picky and am limited on what I like. For instance, I could go to Old Navy, Forever 21, or Gap and not find anything, unless oddly, there is something really unique that just stands out admist everything else in the store. But that doesn't happen too often for me, and I know these stores have cute things, but I am just very limited on what I like, as I said. Now, when I go to Anthropologie, it's a whole new ballgame. I find too much I like because I know I am going to actually like what I am buying if it meets the three traits I look for.
Now on to this dress. Yes, I do realize it's cotton, and may shrink, arrrg! Don't get me wrong, cotton is a great material, depending on the type. This dress may seem average, but I adore the color and design of this dress. I love this dress paired with this scarf, which I use as a wrap. I also love the two colors together which really speaks spring. I can see this dress belted, which can really flatter a waistline.

A Plain Dress Transformed

I My husband likes this dress the best of all the dresses at Anthro. He also gasped at the price. I told him, Yes, Anthro is pricey, and he replied, "I could buy a lot of cool stuff for the price of that dress." Okay, for a man who hates to shop, and will only enter the Anthro store so he can smell the fragrant candles burning, I knew he would be outraged and confused at how women's clothing could cost that much. He for one, will go for years without buying one item of clothing, and I, on the other hand, make up for that with my fashion obsession.
Along with my obsession with fashion, is Anthropologie and the uniqueness they bring to my wardrobe. But I do have to be honest, I don't particularly like this dress he chose. I feel it's not unique enough for my taste, and not my style. I decided to pair this dress with some flats, a colorful purse and a belt, and then could envision this on a short petite gal, unlike myself who is tall, and then picture this dress being a classic in her wardrobe. This dress is great for the right person, just not for me. But, I do admire my husband's ability to pick out a dress, even though he is still talking about the price.

Use A Scarf As A Shawl Or Wrap

Sundresses, An Absolute Must!

Vibrant Colors Make This Dress

One of the reasons we women, love Anthro, is because we all want to find one of a kind, unique clothes. Things nobody else has. We like to feel connected, and I think when we see each other wearing clothes from Anthro that we own as well, we don't mind, because we all feel part of their clientele of good taste in clothes.
I like this dress for several reasons. First, it is rather unique. I have never seen anything like it in other stores. It is so aquatic too. It reminds me to something I would see underwater if snorkeling/scuba-diving. Second, it has a beautiful color palette that is delicious to look at, and third, it is so summer. I wouldn't mind wearing this on a trip to Hawaii or walk around southern California in it. It is a stop and stare type dress, sure to draw the eye just to the colors. I love this dress paired with a belt and these shoes. I was thinking of going with a thinner belt because I didn't want to cover the flowers, but then I thought. the print is large enough to go with a thicker belt. Overall, I love this dress.
